The Demi Godzz

The Demi Godzz are a prophetic youth hip-hop duo performing under the Family Wealth Moguls brand. Known for their high energy performances and message-driven music, they use their platform to inspire confidence, positivity, and purpose among young people.

For The Demi Godzz, participating in Athens’s Got Talent is about more than performing. Demi God AJ (pictured on the left) is a survivor of sexual assault, and both youth artists have also been impacted by gun violence. Because of their personal experiences, supporting organizations that advocate for survivors and protect children is deeply meaningful to them.

Through their performance, they hope to raise awareness for The Cottage and to stand up for healing, protection, and hope for other children and families in the community.

Miles Bunch

Miles Bunch is a local comedian that’s runs various weekly shows around town. Miles owns a window cleaning and pressure washing business and works as a yoga instructor. As a comedian, Miles loves to blend the conundrums of daily life with an absurd outlook. As a survivor and an ally, Miles has so much love and admiration for the mission of The Cottage, and finds AGT to be one of the most joyful and exciting events of the year in Athens.

Brittany Lynch

My name is Brittany Lynch and I’m excited for the opportunity to participate in Athens’s Got Talent. I’m a spoken word artist who expresses myself through poetry. My work focuses on real-life experiences, resilience, and using words to connect with people and inspire others.

As a mom of two, I want to show my children the importance of courage, creativity, and believing in yourself. Participating in Athens’s Got Talent gives me the chance to share my voice with the community and show how powerful spoken word poetry can be.

I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to be part of this year’s show!

Nancy Heiges

Hi! My name is Nancy Heiges, and I'm a comedian and musician in Athens  I run the Funny Femmes Comedy Showcase, which is an all-women comedy show that happens once a month at the Globe, and we just hosted our first conference for women in comedy on March 14. I also teach English at Athens Technical College. I love performing and the arts, and I love supporting women in any way I can!

Carin Xiong

Carin Xiong is an aspiring Hmong musician from the Athens community whose journey has been defined by adaptation. After ten years of performing on piano at high school talent shows and cultural events, a diagnosis of tendonitis in 2025 forced a pause in her musical path. Refusing to let the music stop, she turned to singing as a new creative outlet, discovering a unique way to combine her vocal talents with "mouth trumpeting."

Inspired by Rachael Chui's jazz performances on Canada’s Got Talent, Carin uses this specialized technique to add a layer of instrumental texture and creative improvisation to her sound. Blending the sophistication of Jazz with the intimacy of Bedroom Pop and the nostalgic melodies of Anime and Japanese music, Carin is stepping onto the Athens’s Got Talent stage to showcase her evolution as a versatile vocalist.

“I am participating in Athens’s Got Talent to support the vital work of The Cottage. As someone who has personally experienced the impact of sexual abuse and has seen its effects on those close to me, I deeply value their mission to end violence and provide free, essential services. Music has been a sanctuary for my own healing, and I want to use my voice to contribute to a cause that ensures no one has to face these challenges alone.”

The Love.Craft Music Crew

The Love.Craft Music Crew is a group of artists who participate in weekly music therapy classes at Love.Craft Athens, using music to build confidence, skills, and connection with others. They’ve performed at many Love.Craft fundraising events and love sharing their talents with the community!

Love.Craft Athens’ mission is to create space for adults with disabilities in Athens — and the Music Crew’s participation in this event is their mission in action. Their performance in Athens’s Got Talent is a celebration of creativity, confidence, and belonging.

Neela Sudhagar

Neelakshi (Neela) Sudhagar is a sophomore at the University of Georgia majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Although she plans to pursue a career in medicine, she finds comfort and balance through the arts. Neela is a trained Classical Indian dancer in the style of Bharatanatyam and a Carnatic vocalist.

She first learned about The Cottage in 2024 and participated in Athens’s Got Talent that same year. Inspired by the organization’s mission, she is grateful for the opportunity to support The Cottage through her art. Neela will be performing a Bharatanatyam piece again this year and is excited to share her passion with the Athens community while uplifting a cause that is deeply meaningful to her.

Amazon Godezz & Itzluv Shawty

Amazon Godezz & Itzluv Shawty are bringing more than music to Athens’s Got Talent they are bringing purpose. Amazon Godezz, a prophetic pop star from Atlanta, Georgia, blends pop, hip hop, and prophetic sound into bold, genre-fusing music. Itzluv Shawty, from Griffin, Georgia, is also known as The Prophetic Vanguard of Love and is known for combining raw emotion, truth, and heart in every performance.

This cause is deeply personal to them. They have both witnessed the impact of sexual assault on survivors, and Itzluv Shawty is also a survivor of sexual abuse as a child. That is why supporting The Cottage means more than a stage moment. It is a chance to stand behind healing, protection, and advocacy for children and survivors.

By voting for Amazon Godezz & Itzluv Shawty, you are not only supporting two artists with a message, you are also helping lift up a cause they genuinely believe in. Every vote helps turn music into impact.

Ryan Schey

Hi, I’m Ryan Schey, and Hamaixa is the name of my live electronics and synth music project. It’s inspired by house, electro, and musique concrète.

I’m participating in Athens’s Got Talent because I dream of freedom. For AGT, to me that means dreaming of a world in which every person can be free from sexual violence, abuse, and harm so they can flourish. I know we won’t get there tomorrow, so along the way to this destination, I dream of living in a country where we collectively choose to fund places of healing and safety—in other words, The Cottage—rather than machines of war, destruction, surveillance, and deportation.

In my day job at UGA, I’m an associate professor and educational researcher. In my scholarship, I focus on making K-12 schools better for queer and trans kids, publishing academic research and writing for the public about the topic. So on an intellectual level, I’m participating in AGT because I know some about the ways gendered and sexualized harassment and violence impacts children and youth. But on a personal level, through my family, I’m participating because I’ve seen the devastating effects of sexual abuse and the vibrancy and brilliance of survivors.

The Writers Mafia

The Writers Mafia is a motley crew of student writers majoring in “waste management” at the University of North Georgia. Founded in 2023, we’re the kind of family that shows up with notebooks instead of crowbars—novelists, screenwriters, poets, playwrights, and assorted word-slingers from all walks of life. We hold clandestine meetings (a.k.a. workshops), trade pages like contraband, and make sure no one leaves the table without at least one bad pun and a better draft. For Athens’s Got Talent, we’ve cooked up an original script just for the occasion because nothing says “organized crime” like a room full of writers plotting character arcs and concocting dramatic flourishes to take care of our community. After all, what’s good for the community is good for the Family.

We are thrilled to take part in Athens’s Got Talent in support of The Cottage, an organization that does truly vital work in our community. The Cottage is UNG Oconee’s official community partner, providing crucial resources and advocacy for students who are survivors of sexual assault and child abuse. Our faculty advisor, Stephanie Rountree, also serves as President of The Cottage Board of Directors, and through her we are constantly reminded of how profoundly this organization supports our campus. Participating in this fundraiser is our way of giving back to an organization that gives so much to UNG students, and we are honored to support its mission through our work onstage at AGT.
