A Full-time Forensic Interviewer, Therapist, and Advocate

The Cottage is hiring for a Forensic Interviewer, Therapist, & Advocate! This position's main responsibilities are providing Forensic Interviews, Victim Assistance Program (VAP) Counseling, and Family Advocacy. 

Forensic Interviewer: The Forensic Interviewer is responsible for conducting forensic interviews of children for Clarke County per the request of Law Enforcement, Department of Family and Child Services (DFCS), and/ or the District Attorney’s Office. This position is responsible for maintaining effective relationships with partner agencies and assisting with the Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings.

Therapist: The Therapist involves providing VAP services and counseling to children.

Family Advocate: Family Advocacy involves speaking to caregivers and providing support and resources before, during, and after the forensic interview/forensic medical exam. This role is responsible for the facilitation of the forensic interview process.

A Family Advocate and Therapist

The Family Advocate and Therapist has two primary duties: Family Advocacy and Victim Assistance Program (VAP) Counseling/Therapy.  Family Advocacy involves speaking to caregivers before, during, and after the forensic interview/forensic medical exam process. This role is responsible for the facilitation of the forensic interview process. Therapy involves providing VAP services to child clients of The Cottage. This position is supervised by the Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center.

This is a full-time position with benefits.
